Spotlight Event: Festival at Sandpoint

July 30th – August 9th, 2026 | War Memorial Field – 801 Ontario St, Sandpoint, ID (Gates 6pm, Shows 7:30pm)

One of the Pacific Northwest’s most beloved outdoor concert series returns for another summer on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. The 2026 lineup brings Portugal. The Man, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Midland, Aaron Lewis and the Stateliners, and more to War Memorial Field for eleven nights under the North Idaho stars. Bring blankets or low-back chairs for lawn seating, pack layers for cool evenings, and arrive early to browse walkable downtown Sandpoint before showtime. The venue allows outside food and non-alcoholic drinks. A true bucket-list summer experience.

Spotlight Event: Caldwell Night Rodeo

August 18th – 22nd, 2026 | Caldwell Night Rodeo Grounds – 2301 Blaine St, Caldwell, ID (Gates 6pm, Shows 7:45pm nightly)

Now in its 102nd year, the Caldwell Night Rodeo is Idaho’s number-one large outdoor rodeo and one of the top five in the nation. Five nights of PRCA-sanctioned competition bring over 600 of the best professional cowboys and cowgirls — plus world-class animal athletes — to the arena for bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, barrel racing, and the always-electric bull riding finale. Each night has a different theme, from First Responders Night to Cancer Awareness Night. VIP dinner experiences and multi-night packages are available; Friday and Saturday nights sell out well in advance, so plan ahead.

Spotlight Event: Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival

August 14th – 16th, 2026 10am – 4pm | Atkinson Park – 3rd Ave, Ketchum, ID 83340

The 57th Annual Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival returns to beautiful Atkinson Park just off Main Street in Ketchum, welcoming 126 professional artists and craftspeople from 27 states to the Wood River Valley. A rigorous jury process ensures world-class work across painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, woodwork, metalwork, jewelry, and more. Add food trucks, live music, a picnic area, and a kids’ activity area, and you’ve got one of Idaho’s finest outdoor arts weekends — completely free and open to the public. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome in the park (but not in artist booths).

Spotlight Event: Braun Brothers Reunion

August 6th – 8th, 2026 | Challis Golf Course – 331 Golf Club Ln, Challis, ID 83226

Idaho’s favorite home-grown music festival returns to the Challis Golf Course along the Salmon River for three days of Americana, Texas Country, Red Dirt, and Bluegrass music under big open skies. The 2026 lineup is stacked: Reckless Kelly, Micky and the Motorcars, Hayes Carll, Cody Canada and the Departed, The Wilder Blue, Bruce Robison, Sister Sadie, Suzy Bogguss, Tylor and the Train Robbers, and many more, all on one stage. Late afternoon concerts on Thursday and Friday build to a full all-day Saturday lineup. During the festival, the town population of Challis doubles or triples as fans and musicians descend for what is truly a gathering unlike anything else in Idaho.
